Enemies

SWAT employs a wide variety of enemies to provide an ever-changing experience. Players gain experience for any enemy unit dying anywhere on the map for any reason, regardless of proximity. The entire team levels up at the same rate with a few exceptions.  Players do not not gain experience while in a "safe" room - a room that enemies are not allowed to spawn from.  The Lab, Bunkers, ABMs, and Power Plant rooms fall under this category.

Zombies

The most abundant creature lurking the streets of Raccoon City. These twisted versions of infected civilians are relentless in their pursuit. They make up what they lack in power with their sheer numbers aiming to overwhelm SWAT members. Stay off their bodies as the T-virus continues to reanimate dead flesh and they will occasionally hop up for another go at your team.

Beasts

One of the most creative enemies, likely has the highest kill count. A Beast's greatest

strength is in its attack speed.   Can sometimes blink in the middle of a group and will rip apart weaker armored heroes. Even at death it doesnt give up releasing minature versions of itself.

Grotesques

No one is quite sure from where the grotesque originated after the nuclear fallout...what they are sure of is that these flying abominations are always on the top of the priority list in combat. Their ability to attack from various angles and catch SWAT members off guard is unparalleled.

Normal

Toxic (Emits toxic fumes in close promixity)

Radiation (Shoots Radiation bolts)

Fire (Extra damage)

Mutants

These tanky behemoths attack with such a force that their blows can stagger SWAT members through nanite shielding. Their resilience is unmatched by any of their fellow zombies and sometimes never seem to want to stay on the ground. Avoid letting them get close and distracting you from the rest of the fight.

Types:

Normal

Charred(Rare) (Fast & has many lives)

Spiders

These sneaky devils hide and wait within abandoned buildings for any unsuspecting fool that would try to enter and loot its contents for supplies or weapons. They will ensnare you in their webs, removing the flight from "Fight or Flight."

Fireflies

The smallest, but far from weakest member of your opposition, fireflies refuse to die and can not be killed directly. Small arms fire weakens them and causes them to slowly wither into nothing. However, dying fireflies are not dead and they will continue to attack quickly, draining your shield.

Bosses

Throughout a game of SWAT you will encounter fearsome bosses, each with their own tricks and dangers to rip your team to shreds. If not tackled properly, they can easily slaughter your whole force in seconds.

Abomination

The abomination is the most common boss you'll see, a great conglomerate of decaying flesh with a powerful attack and fast movement.

Types:

Normal
Toxic (Leaves deadly fumes on death)

TNT (Explodes on death)

There's a special kind of abomination that will only appear during the final stages of the game, while you're fighting Nemesis. This is the Infested abomination, that releases Fireflies upon death.

Horror

The horror is a powerful radiated boss; adding 20 to the radiation level while alive, spawning several radiated grotesques with him, and being able to shoot powerful radiation bolts to strike down weaker team members, this monster's main weakness is his connection to the fragments around the city: Each one destroyed hurts him substantially.
